In this area we intend to answer the most frequently asked questions, involving commercial aspects or application’s maintenance.

1. Available versions
There are two versions, depending on the adopted database’s management system:
  • Microsoft SQL server or;
  • ISIS/Access.
2. Requirements
Isis/Access version
In its current version, the application runs on Windows local networks (ETH 10/100 Mbps) and the transactions on an Access database.
Recommended configuration:
  • Personal Computer: with Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7; 500 MB available on Hard Drive, 512 Mb RAM, Internet Explorer 6.0 up to 9.0. Microsoft Net.FrameWork, version 2.0 or higher and Microsoft Visual C++, version 2008
  • Server: with Windows server 2000, 2003 or 2008; Hard Drive with double size of the available database, 1Gb RAM, Internet Explorer 6.0 up to 9.0. Framework .Net 2.0 and;
  • Barcode reader: Must be connected to a PS/2 port of the keyboard (there are adaptors to connect the barcode reader and keyboard simultaneously).

Recommended configuration:

Additionally, you need to install Microsoft Internet Information Serverin the server, using it's default parameters; install also Net.FrameWork, version 2.0.
3. What is Continuity Service?
The continuity service offers a set of services, including:
  • Automatic availability of updates, correcting anomalies and/or adding functions, in order to maintain the compatibility with Microsoft family products;
  • Availability of new versions;
  • Access to myPrisma private area, featuring video manuals and FAQS;
  • Technical support: 9h30-12h30am, 2h00-5h00pm, via suporte.prisma@mind.pt ;
  • Services acquisition on favourable terms and;
  • Possible participation in developments.
This service is included in the one-year warranty. After this period, the involved investment corresponds to:
  • 16% of active licensing, for clients signing an automatically renewable maintenance service contract, or;
  • 20% of active licensing, for clients that didn't signed an automatically renewable maintenance service contract.
